BlizzCon 2026 Diablo Recap: Diablo V, Netflix, Amazon and Switch 2

Mano Imp’s 6 August 2026 video was published before the show, mixing known information with guesses. His read at the time: Blizzard was holding part of season 15 back for the event, which probably meant something bigger.

He was right about the direction.

What the show actually announced (12 September 2026)

Blizzard also notes this was the first BlizzCon since Microsoft completed its acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Where the video was right and wrong

• Right on direction: Blizzard did hold part of season 15 back for the show.
• Wrong on scale: the guess was a new expansion; Blizzard skipped straight to announcing a new game.
• Unfounded at the time: speculation about which characters would return to the centre of the story. Season 15’s returning bosses and Diablo V’s premise answered parts of that later.

What viewers were hoping for

The comments are mostly nostalgia requests: a Diablo I remake, or a Diablo III remake along the lines of Diablo II: Resurrected. Some also worried aloud about “limited content priced like a new game”.

Those are viewer opinions, not company plans.
